For first time retinol user, apply once every other night till your skin is ready to use it daily.

Main Active Ingredients

Retinol

Retinol has been regarded as the Gold Standard in Skin Care due to its’ remarkable ability to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, signs of photodamage, and pore size. Retinol acts as a sort of skin cell hypnotist, because it attaches to almost any skin cell and convinces it to behave like a younger, healthy skin cell. Retinol also works as an antioxidant, which can prevent free radicals and increase collagen production; it can also reduce existing wrinkles, fight acne, unclog pores, strengthen aging skin, and repair sun-damaged skin. These benefits will give you better facial skin, clear your face, reduce face lines and red cheeks, as well as fight and prevent aging skin.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C and it’s derivatives have been shown to be effective in increasing collagen deposits and also enhancing collagen lattice contractions, implying that exogenous Vitamin C application contributes to strengthening the collagen framework and maintaining a healthy dermis.  Topical application of Vitamin C has been shown to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Caused by mechanisms supporting collagen production, this leads to improving the appearance of the skin.  It has further been proven to reduce the severity of sunburns and age spots.  We use sodium ascorbyl phosphate, which is a water-soluble derivative of vitamin C. It’s stand-out features are that it’s nonirritating, and it’s more stable than L-ascorbic acid. Research is also finding that it appears to be just as effective as ascorbic acid in the stimulation of collagen production.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid, also known as HA, is a natural compound found in skin that has many important functions, including holding in moisture, providing cushioning, aiding in tissue repair, holding together the skin structural components collagen and elastin, and helping create a protective barrier against microorganisms. The loss of natural hyaluronic acid is one of the causes of wrinkles, so the idea of putting HA back into the skin to repair wrinkles makes sense.

Since hyaluronic acid holds moisture well — holding up to 1,000 times its weight in water–it is a commonly used component in moisturizers. In these moisturizers, it functions not only to deliver water to the skin, but also to hold it there. As a large molecule, it doesn’t permeate deep into the skin, but instead stays near the surface where it moisturizes the skin surface layers. Hyaluronic acid makes the skin look younger and increase skin tone, making it look smooth and supple.

Vitamin B3

Also called niacinamide. Because topical application of niacinamide can help preserve levels of NADH and NADPH, two important enzymes that contribute to the production of cellular energy and lipids (responsible for cell growth), it contributes to the support of the skin’s barrier against pollutants and other irritants. As a result, many skin conditions, such as acne, the redness associated with rosacea, and other inflammatory signs can be actively managed. Also, vitamin B3 has shown to be useful for encouraging the production of natural emollients that can help the skin remain hydrated.

Vitamin E

Alpha tocopheryl acetate, or Vitamin E Acetate, is the stable form of Vitamin E most often used in cosmetic formulations for its skin care benefits. Vitamin E protects cell membranes from damage by oxygen free radicals.  It can prevent premature aging of the skin induced by UV irradiation and lipid peroxidation.
